Guitar For Beginners

Guitar For Beginners

Over the years I've given guitar lessons to probably close to 100 people, most of them children and teens but there have been a few adults here and there too, and one thing I've noticed from almost all of them was that there's an intimidation or fear factor associated with learning to play guitar. I suppose the idea of music lessons conjures up images of stuffy old teachers forcing you to practice boring scales of single notes over and over... that would make me hesitate too, but the truth is there's an easy way to learn guitar for beginners that isn't boring or hard and doesn't take forever to actually start playing and having fun.

Traditional teaching methods focused on learning all of the basics and fundamentals first, and then playing. This is efficient but poorly suited to the average person who is just hoping to learn how to strum along to their favorite bands or songs around the campfire or at parties.

For you the answer is a quality teach yourself guitar type course that begins by focusing on learning a few easy and familiar songs to actually play right away, and then gradually progresses up through slightly more advanced songs to play at your own pace.

This way you can be really playing and having fun in just hours, and as you progress through the stages of song complexity you'll still be learning the basics and fundamentals of music and your instrument.

In other words, both methods of learning the guitar work to do the same thing, but teach yourself courses that you can work through at your own pace allow you to do it in a fun and less stuffy manner.

One of the best Guitar For Beginners courses I've come across is "The Beginner's Guide to Unlocking the Guitar" and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning to play guitar.
